Shooting pain in top of foot

Hi,



I've had a pain in the top of my left foot for about ten days now. This can range from barely feeling it to really severe shooting pains.



If I press on my foot with my hand there's no pain whatsoever which suggests there's no bruising or muscle pain. But I can be walking and a striking shooting pain could come on for a few seconds before slowly dying down again.



Is this anything to be concerned about? I'm 23 and fairly healthy.
